Tool for Pricing Scenarios

Objective of the module: Calculating the effects of price changes with respect to the associated mandatory discounts as well as the planning for reductions of the maximum allowable pharmaceutical drug cost paid for by health insurance providers.

It is useful to integrate revenue information. This allows the ITL Pharma Cube to calculate how many packages more or less would have to be sold to achieve the same sales or revenue.


Optional: It is possible to integrate the effects of the current business related to tenders, for example by combining this tool with the tender planning module.

 

For example, the following factors can be considered:

  • changes to mandatory discounts following a reduction of the maximum allowable pharmaceutical drug cost paid for by health insurance providers
  • defining various scenarios for calculations from different viewpoints
  • definition of limit values, for example such that no mandatory discounts (generics discounts) are incurred
  • calculations to allow for the determination of the lowest, third-lowest price
  • integration/consideration of manufacturer costs, planned sales numbers etc.
